MeltWatch Privacy Policy

Introduction

MeltWatch is an iOS and Android app developed by Reliqra, LLC ("Company," "we," or "us"), designed to provide users with real-time precious-metal spot prices and melt value calculations for coins and bullion. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use MeltWatch (the "App" or "Service"). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

Data Collection

Personal Information

We may collect personally identifiable information when you:

• Create an account or sign up for a subscription
• Request support or communicate with us
• Make a purchase or subscribe through in-app purchases

This information may include your name, company name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and billing details. We collect payment information (such as credit card details) only as necessary to complete transactions. We do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it.

Device and Usage Data

We collect non-personal information automatically when you use the App. This may include device model, operating system, application version, IP address, anonymous usage statistics, and cookies or similar technologies. This information helps us enforce usage limits, understand usage patterns, improve the Service, and troubleshoot problems. We may also collect aggregated demographic data that is not unique to you.

Mobile Measurement & Advertising Attribution

We use a mobile measurement partner, AppsFlyer, together with Apple's SKAdNetwork (on iOS), to understand how people discover MeltWatch and to measure the performance of our advertising. This may involve device and advertising identifiers and app events such as installs, trial starts, and purchases. We use this for attribution and analytics; we do not sell this data. On iOS, any use of the device advertising identifier is subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice. You can review AppsFlyer's practices in their privacy policy.

Information from Third-Party Services

MeltWatch obtains live metals prices and historical data via third-party data services. Those services may collect personal information such as your name, email, address, or payment details, depending on their policies. Data collected by third parties is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Children’s Information

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information.

Accounts, AI Identification & Image Storage

Some MeltWatch features — including AI coin identification ("Snap & Identify") and saving items with photos to your Collection — require an account and use cloud services. This section explains exactly what that involves.

Accounts

To use AI coin identification and to keep your usage credits associated with you across reinstalls and devices, you create an account by signing in through a supported identity provider. We store an account identifier that links your device to your credit balance. We do not require you to provide a name, mailing address, or password to us, and any email associated with your sign-in is used only to operate your account and is never sold.

Coin Photos & AI Identification

When you use Snap & Identify, the coin photos you capture are sent securely to our processing service and to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to identify the coin. Under OpenAI's API terms, images submitted through the API are not used to train their models and are retained only briefly for abuse monitoring before deletion. We use these images to return an identification and pricing result and to operate and improve the feature.

Collection Images & Cloud Storage

When you save a coin to your Collection with photos, those images are uploaded to our cloud storage (hosted on Amazon Web Services) and served via image links so they can be displayed in the app and included when you export your collection. This means collection images leave your device and are stored on our infrastructure. The rest of your collection details (coin attributes, quantities, cost basis, notes) are managed for your account. You can delete items, and you can request deletion of your stored images and account data (see “Retention & Your Rights” below).

Usage Credits

AI coin identification and live coin pricing use a credit allowance tied to your account (a free daily allowance, with a larger monthly allowance for subscribers, plus optional credit packs). We track this balance on our servers so it remains accurate across reinstalls and devices.

Use of Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver, operate, and maintain the Service and the features you request
• Process transactions and manage subscriptions
• Communicate with you regarding your account, updates, promotions, or other information related to the Service
• Enforce our End User License Agreement and API usage limits
• Protect our rights, property, and the safety of our users
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

We may also use aggregated or de-identified data for analytics and product development to improve our Service. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or lease customer lists to third parties. We may share information with service providers that help us operate our business, such as payment processors, cloud hosting vendors, email service providers, and analytics services. These providers may use information only to perform services for us and must maintain its confidentiality.

We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:

• Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company
• Protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public

Service Providers We Use

We rely on the following third-party providers to operate MeltWatch. Each processes only the data needed for its function, and each is governed by its own privacy policy:

• Apple & Google — app distribution, sign-in, in-app purchases/subscriptions, and push notifications.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting and processing for our app services, including account/credit management and storage of collection images.
• OpenAI — AI vision processing of coin photos for the Snap & Identify feature.
• Greysheet (CDN Publishing) — coin pricing data.
• Gold Price API — live precious-metal spot prices and historical data.
• AppsFlyer — mobile measurement and advertising attribution.
• Mailchimp — email updates, if you choose to subscribe.

API Usage and Third‑Party Terms

The App delivers metals pricing data obtained from third-party services. Please note:

• Non-commercial use: Certain data services may restrict commercial or public use unless covered by a paid plan.
• No competing services: You may not use information obtained via the App to create, train, support, or commercialize a competing API, software, database, or service.

Third-party data services supply pricing data “as is” and do not guarantee that it will be error-free. Data may not always have the expected accuracy. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data provided through the App and accept no liability for decisions made based on this data.

Data Retention and Your Rights

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. At your request, we will delete your personal information from our records and direct service providers to delete your information, subject to lawful exceptions.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot warrant absolute security.
